This amazing sphere made from fossil wood will look perfect indoors or out and fill that corner that is just begging for something special and as interesting as this!  The sphere is cream with black, rich brown and orangey markings.  Found and carved in Zimbabwe, the wood is 220 million years old, from the Triassic period, formed from the Auracaria or Monkey Puzzle Tree, a species which has survived today.  Natural colours of the wood are naturally enhanced with the burnished shine of the polished agate which has formed within as part of the fossilisation process…  Anyone for bowls?
