Beautiful tree-trunk sized thick slice of fossil wood from the famous fossil forest area of Northern Arizona, approximately 220 million years old.  From an Auracaria (Monkey Puzzle) Tree, a species which has survived to the present.  The fossil wood deposits of Arizona are famous for their unique bright reds and yellows and this piece is a great example of its kind!  All the tree growth rings are preserved in microscopic detail in solid agate.   Can be displayed as it is or would make a great table top or similar – will last and be treasured forever.  Very beautiful.
