Brittle Starfish, ‘Geocoma’, from Solnhofen, Germany.  From the Middle Jurassic period ,150 million years ago.  Solnhofen is one of the oldest  and most famous fossil and quarrying sites in the world.   Based around a tropical sea, all manner of fish, marine reptiles, vegetation and crustacea have been found in Solnhofen, not to mention the odd dinosaur and world-famous fossilised  bird, Archeopteryx.  Highly collectable.
